performance, immune responses of heat stressed broiler chicks in response to dietary levels of propolis
Authors
abstract
this experiment was performed to investigate the effects of propolis and chromium picolinate on performance and immune response of broiler chicken under heat stress conditions. treatments included different levels of propolis (500, 1000, and 1500 mg/kg) and chromium picolinate (1500 µg/ kg) along with a control group. a completely randomized design was taken into account with 4 replicates of 10 ross (308) male broiler chicks per treatment under heat stress conditions (34 ±2°c, 5 hours/day). the chicks received treatments from 1 to 42 days. birds fed 1500 mg/kg propolis had significantly higher feed intakes (p

Dietary Inclusion of Thyme Essential Oil Alleviative Effects of Heat Stress on Growth Performance and Immune System of Broiler Chicks
This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of dietary inclusion of thyme essential oil (TEO) on growth performance and immune responses of broiler chicks subjected to heat stress (HS). Broilers were divided into five groups; group 1) chicks fed with basal diet and reared under thermoneutral condition; group 2) chicks fed with basal diet and subjected to HS condition; and groups 3, 4 and 5...

full textEffects of Adding Ethanol Extract of Propolis and Cumin Essential Oil to Diet on the Performance, Blood Parameters, Immune Response and Carcass Traits of Broiler Chicks
This study was conducted to determine the effects of adding ethanol extract of propolis (EEP) and cumin essential oil (CEO) to diets of broiler chicks on the performance, blood parameters, immune response and carcass traits. A total of 240 day-old Ross-308 broiler chicks were randomly allocated to four treatments with six replicates and 10 birds in each replicate in a completely randomized desi...
full texteffect of different levels of protein and probiotic on performance and immune response in broiler chicks under heat stress
this study was carried out to determine the effects of different levels of protein and probiotic (protexin) on performance, and immune response in ross (308) broiler exposed to heat stress. five hundred and forty one-day old broilers were employed in a compeletly randomized design (3×3 factorial arrangement) of 3 replicates for each treatment. the diets were formulated according to nrc (1994) r...
